National Poetry Month--Day 21--Clerihew poem

We're doing Clerihew poems. Yeah. I didn't know what those were either until I went here. So here are a few of mine:

In the game of Heidi and Lon
He's the Queen and I'm the pawn

If I don't ask him to do any work
His self-picked chores he doesn't shirk

He works hard, this guy named Lon
But honey-dos just rub him wrong

His acquiescence will take years
And generate frustrated tears

Living with an enigma like Lon
Takes stamina and mental brawn

But in this game of water and stone
I hope someday his mount'n to hone
