National Poetry Month--Day Unlucky--Tricube Poem--Doggie

Today we're doing Tricube poems. Pretty easy to understand but some good examples are here. And here is my spate of them:

Forlornly

Doggy stares

Awaiting

So loyal

Companion

Head on paws

His eyes sad

He longs to

Go outside

To chase birds

And lizards

And mirrors

But he waits

For me to

Remember

How can I

Not drop all

To love him?

We'll go soon

When I'm done

With my work

Patiently

He waits and

Waits and waits

God gave dog

To me for

A teacher

Can I be

as avid

A pupil?
