National Poetry Month--Tag des Neuns--Nonet poem--Pancake Temptations

Today we're doing nonets. For how to do one, go here. My poem is below.

Golden pancakes round and so fragrant

Tempting me into the kitchen

Dressed in liquid golden sun

Arrayed like lily pads

You lie there sweetly

Come hithering

Hello chub

Hungry

National Poetry Month--Dia Ocho--Shadorama Poems--Wind in the Blossoms

Wind whistles

Clanging through my bells

Trees whipping

Scuds the clouds

Scattering orange blossoms

Breeze--not seen but here

If you want to know what a Shadorama poem is, go here. Otherwise, the above.

National Poetry Month--Day SEVEN--Grammar Poem-- Regret, Dish

Today we're doing Grammar poems. If you want to know how to do them, go here. If not, my poems:

 REGRET

Nascent in youth and conqueror of age

Insidiously draining

Slicing like a stiletto in the night, holding sleep hostage

Had only hindsight been foresight.

DISH

Useful and common

Steaming gently

Like a volcano's caldera

If only the soup you held wasn't split pea

National Poetry Month--Day the sixth--Tricube Poems--Eire Green

Hanging out over the Cliffs of Moher--Not scary or anything and it was a lot further down than it looks...;)

Today we're doing Tricube poems. If you're as snowed about them as I am, go here. If you just want to read mine, stay here...;)

Eire green

Fills my soul

I live there

Hiking home to Killarney from Muckross Abbey in the rain

In the air

Music lives

Feeds my love

Give my heart

To that place

sláinte mhaith

(Means to your health.)

National Poetry Month--Day Funf--Pensee Poem--

We're doing Pensee Poems today. If you want to know what those are, go here. If you think you'll just wing it, here's mine plus another:

 Stuffed Brain

Words, images

Crowd my head so tightly they

Must now decide; arms up or down?

Japanese train stuffer

 Words and images

Crowding my head,

Crushing toes

Elbows to ribs

Pushing,

Shoving to be OUT

Baby ideas screaming

They require

A Japanese train stuffer

To decide whether arms go

Up or down?

National Poetry Month--Day 4--ABCB Poem--Monsoon Romp

Pronking through the monsoon weeds

You chase th’ elusive bunny rabbit

When you get up near its tail

You hope to reach out jaws and grab it.

Clenching teeth on empty air

Silly puff ball zags and zigs

You forge ahead two feet from ground

But through the fence it gladly jigs

Maybe someday soon you'll catch

That jiggy bunny in your jaws

But somehow you are more inclined

To hug and lick what's in your paws.

National Poetry Month--Day 3--Triplets--Dog Ball

 DOG BALL

Little dog you drop your ball

Wanting me to give my all

Catching it you take the fall

Why won't you drop it at my feet(h)

Instead I pull it from your teeth

Goop's over, sideways, and beneath

Drop that ball! I want to say

We can have such lovely play

We'll be like this all blasted day

The dog just gives his child-like smile

And I can't withstand ev'ry wile

I'd throw for him a good long while
